MISSION

Million Peacemakers Youth (MPY) is a global youth initiative that strives for a youth-driven peaceful future. We empower youth worldwide to co-create a culture of peace, where differences are understood as opportunities to co-create and where no one is left behind. To achieve this, we provide youth organizations and educational institutions with key resources to promote the constructive resolution of conflicts. More specifically, we hope to bring the Nonflict way to every corner of the world by implementing leadership programs, focus groups between other youth leaders, mentoring programs, student clubs, storytelling, and more. By providing youth with the resources for constructive dialogue from an early age, we are working towards a better future led by the next generation of peacemakers.

VISION

Empower the youth worldwide to co-create a culture of peace.

WHAT IS NONFLICT

Method

The Nonflict way is a simple and effective 3-step method that provides a structured approach to conflict resolution. The steps lead people to understand themselves and one another, then to discuss their shared reality, and finally to take active steps to co-create their ideal reality. It was created by organizational psychologist Dr. Amir Kfir and inspired by interpersonal group processes from various fields.

OUR LEADERS

Theadora has just graduated from McGill University with a commerce degree and a concentration in human resources & labour relations. As a result of her high academic achievements and exceptional leadership skills, she was appointed as the 2022 Valedictorian. As for her future plans, she plans to continue her studies in Law. She believes the power of Law will serve as a powerful tool for peacemaking. After being coached for many years while training to be a national figure skater, she later pursued her own coaching experience. As a very enthusiastic and energetic young individual, she hopes to encourage peacemaking by promoting the Nonflict way. Hence, why she is involved with the youth initiative of Million Peacemakers; with her co-chair Gian, they have built a team of approximately 50 peacemakers and hope to continue building their team. With this team, they hope to empower youth worldwide to co-create a culture of peace, where differences are understood as opportunities to co-create and where no one is left behind. To achieve this, they plan on providing youth-led organizations and educational institutions with key resources to promote the constructive resolution of conflicts.
